If you make a contribution of $100 or more to TRF before June 30, 2012, we will match into your TRF account $100 to help the Foundation meet its needs.

The heart of Rotary International is its over 1.2 million members, but its life’s blood is the Rotary Foundation.  It is the source of funds that permits Rotary to save and change lives in our communities, our country and the world. Rotary International suggests that every Rotarian make a personal donation of $100 to our foundation every year.  Our club donates on our behalf so that the club’s annual goal is met. However, based on the world’s current economic situation, donations over all have declined, and the needs have increased.

The Rotary Foundation (TRF) has a system to encourage individual contributions called a Sustaining Member. If you contribute $100 to TRF in any Rotary year (July 1 through June 30), you become a Sustaining Member, with the hope that you will continue doing so for ten years and then become a Paul Harris Fellow. Sandy and I contribute to TRF every year and we now offer the following challenge to the members of the Rotary Club of Southington.

If you make a contribution of $100 or more to TRF before June 30, 2012, we will match into your TRF account $100 to help the Foundation meet its needs. There are several ways to donate:
1.   Give your check payable to TRF to our club secretary or treasurer at a club meeting.
2.   You may donate online at www.rotary.org by following these instructions.
a.      Click the member access button in the upper right and either register or log on. Our club number is 6512, District number 7890, your member number is on the label of your Rotarian Magazine.
b.      Login to the website and click on contribute to the Rotary Foundation on the left side of the screen.  You may use Master Card or Visa.
